Dear Members,

[Supported by SCAA] AWAHK CPD Event- “Digital Transformation” Seminar on 23 September 2021 (Thursday)

Organizer: AWAHK

Details information of Webinar :

In a world where managing is reliant on knowing about economic transactions, accounting information is invaluable. That world, however, is phasing away in today’s digital economy.  No one with an interest in finance work can afford to ignore the changes created by digitalization. The emerging technologies and innovative business models have become mainstream.  They have been disrupting all key roles of an organization and the functions of finance have no exception.

What must finance leaders and executives do differently with the changes these digital technologies are bringing?  The time is now for the finance function to bring to decision makers an understanding of the disruption that digital technologies are causing and the many opportunities they can open.

The COVID-19 has accelerated the digital transformation at an unprecedented manner.  According to a survey issued by McKinsey & Co. in October 2020, the rate of digitization has accelerated by three to four years.  To stay competitive, leaders across all industries must understand and embrace the new trends to evolve and stay competitive.  As a visionary leader in the digital economy, we need to take the drive to transform our business into digital business, our mindset to become digital native, and our people into digital talents.  Disruptive innovation is seriously impacting us either now or inevitably soon.

In this forum, Dr. Toa Charm will share with the participants how we can lead by digital and explore its implication to the finance profession.

1.        Competitive Landscape in Digital Economy

2.        Disruptive Business Models

3.        Challenges and Opportunities in Digital Transformation
