Tax Webinar: Identification of Potential Taxation Services for Clients
活動編號
Tax Webinar (29 May 2020)
活動重點

- Under the ever-more-challenging environment, we as professional accountants can seek for more opportunities to provide a wide variety of tax compliance and advisory services to clients.

- Transfer pricing rule has been enacted in Hong Kong to adopt the international transfer pricing principles. In particular, TP documentation rules are demanding more information from enterprises. Taxpayers can expect ever more queries from the tax authorities who have more tools in their hands to grab what they see as their “fair share of tax”. Year 2020 could be the first year of TP documentation for some of sizable corporations in Hong Kong.

- On the other hand, offshore jurisdictions including the British Virgin Island (“BVI”) has set up economic substance law which will have significant tax impact to Hong Kong and PRC Enterprises which commonly set up entities in the BVI as holding entities or entities with active businesses.

- The target audience of this seminar is accountants who wish to expand their taxation services scope. The seminar will start with case studies in handling tax residency certificate application, followed by techniques to identify potential taxation services for clients. This seminar will also cover the implications and latest development of BVI Economic Substance Law which became effective from 1 January 2019.
